Your whole school day, on one phone.
DugsiCore replaces the paper register, the mark book and the fee ledger. Teachers take attendance and enter marks in the classroom. Admins keep every student, fee and payment exactly, and print the report cards.
07:30The register, before the first bell
The teacher opens the class and taps Present or Absent for each student. It is one tap per name, big enough for one thumb, with the count kept as you go.
- Teachers see only the classes they are assigned to.
- Marked the wrong child? Send the day again and it is corrected.
- Hodan Axmed Cali
- Abdi Maxamed Yuusuf
- Ayaan Cabdi Faarax
- Mustafe Jaamac Ismaaciil
- Sahra Cumar Warsame
09:00A parent at the gate. Find the child.
Every student is recorded with their full three-part Somali name, so two children called Axmed are never confused. Type a few letters and the list narrows.
- Students are never deleted, only made inactive, so history stays.
- Classes keep each register to the children in that room.

Exam weekMarks in, report cards printed
Teachers enter marks on their phone, one subject and one exam at a time. Half marks are fine, and anyone who missed the exam is marked Absent or Excused. Each subject is taught by form, or in sets where the school sets by ability. Then every form's results show each student's grade and position, and the report cards print for the whole form at once.
- Absent counts as zero. Excused is left out, so it does not pull a percentage down.
- Close a term and its marks stop changing, so the report cards print the same next year.
| Subject | Total | Percent | Grade |
|---|---|---|---|
| English | 71 / 100 | 71.0% | B |
| Mathematics | 86.5 / 100 | 86.5% | A |
| Science | 64 / 100 | 64.0% | C |
| Somali | 78 / 100 | 78.0% | B |
| Islamic Studies | 91 / 100 | 91.0% | A |
| Overall | 390.5 / 500 | 78.1% | B |
End of termWho has paid, and exactly how much
Fees are set per student for each term and can be paid in parts, by cash or mobile money, with a reference. Paid, partly paid and overdue are worked out from the payments, so the books agree with themselves.
- Amounts always show their currency, Somaliland shillings (SLSH) or US dollars (USD).
- A mistaken payment is voided, never erased. Teachers never see money.
| Term 1 fee | 450,000 SLSH |
|---|---|
| CashReceived at the office | 200,000 SLSH |
| Mobile moneyRef 4471 0925 | 100,000 SLSH |
| Mobile money VoidEntered twice, voided | 100,000 SLSH |
| Still to pay | 150,000 SLSH |
Next morningA new teacher joins
The school admin adds the teacher, gives them a login and assigns their classes. If a password is forgotten, the admin sets a new one in person. There is no email to chase.

- Accounts can be disabled the day someone leaves.
- AdminStudents, classes, staff, subjects, terms and grades, fees and payments.
